
Board Members Needed — Silver Meadows Cooperative (Goderich Area)
Silver Meadows Cooperative is now seeking 3–5 Founding Board Members to help guide the development of a new affordable senior living community planned for the Goderich area.
This cooperative will provide seniors with a safe, dignified, and community‑focused place to live — featuring modular homes, shared amenities, green space, and future hospice integration. As we move into the early planning and incorporation phase, we are looking for committed individuals who want to help shape this important community project from the ground up.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Community‑minded and supportive of senior‑focused initiatives
- Interested in affordable housing solutions
- Comfortable participating in governance and long‑term planning
- Reliable, collaborative, and willing to contribute to a meaningful local project
Experience in the following areas is helpful but not required:
- Healthcare or hospice
- Finance or accounting
- Law or governance
- Housing, construction, or land development
- Non‑profit leadership
- Senior services
- Community development
Time Commitment
Board members commit approximately 2–4 hours per month, including one monthly meeting and occasional special meetings during key project phases.
